November is National Caregivers Month. We salute the parents and caregivers of children with disabilities who know that the road may be long, and sometimes bumpy, but the joy is in  sharing the jpurney and helping our children reach their potential.

CLSC Program Hosts Open House Nov. 11

Medicaid Mental Health Care Call Scheduled for Nov. 11

What is Section 504 Workshop Nov. 12
Join PIC, JDRF, and Family SHADE for a special workshop on Section 504 Nov. 12, 6:30 p.m. at the Bear Public Library, 101 Governors Place, Bear. Students with a disability that impacts one or more life functions are entitled to accommodations and certain services under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. State Seeks Input for Accountability System on Nov. 12, 13, 19
The Delaware Department of Education seeks feedback on what the public would like measured and reported on the state’s public school accountability report card. And the department will host three town halls in November to gather public feedback on the state’s new approach to reporting school performance and its submission of a waiver for renewed flexibility from the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Town Halls are scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m., November 12 at the John Collette Education Resource Center, 35 Commerce Way, Dover; 6:30 to 8 p.m.; November 13 at Waters Middle School, 1235 Cedar Lane Road, Middletown; 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 19 at the Sussex County Council Chamber, 2 The Circle, Georgetown  To provide input online, visit this LINK.

Autism Education Task Force Meeting Nov. 18
The Autism Education Task Force will meet Nov. 18, 10 a.m. to noon at Legislative Hall, 2nd Floor Hearing Room, 411 Legislative Avenue, Dover.  The public is invited to attend.
