Family Collaborates On Autism-Focused Comic ooks
Brothers Kambel and Kantai Smith, who have autism, are collaborators on a comic book series, "Survivor Evolution." Their father, Lonnie Smith, developed the idea for the comics, which feature a superhero -- Survivor -- who has autism and has the ability to heal others, to help his sons develop their own talents. "My concern was that they would grow up and have something," Smith said. "I don't want them to depend on the system. I want them to have something of their own. Something they can do together, and that's why I pulled them together on the project
