Hosted By: Parent Information Center of Delaware (PIC)
August 01, 2023 12:00pm & 6:00pm
Join staff from the Parent Information Center, along with other parents, as we work through the book From Emotions to Advocacy: The Special Education Survival Guide.
Meeting every other Tuesday, we will learn how to navigate your child’s disability and educational needs, how to create a simple method for organizing your child’s file and devise a master plan for your child’s education. We will also look at parent-school conflict, and how to become your child’s best advocate. The book includes dozens of worksheets, forms, and sample letters to support your needs and each session will offer the opportunity to talk to other parents who have experience navigating systems of support for their children with special healthcare or educational needs.
