Dr. Kathi Riley will speak on the topic of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection, called congenital
CMV. This can be passed from a mother to her baby in utero through the placenta and can
cause some babies to have health problems at birth, or that develop later in life. Problems
can include hearing loss, developmental and motor delay, vision loss, microcephaly, and
seizures.
