Parent Mentor Program Stakeholder Input Sessions

Hosted By: Parent Information Center of Delaware (PIC)

January 09, 2024 12:00 PM

The parent Mentor Program was conceptualized in 2018 with a goal of pairing families with trained mentors/advocates to support families seeking support navigating Delaware’s special education system and/or other resources supporting children and youth with disabilities and special healthcare needs. The training program is scheduled to train its first cohort in Spring 2024. We are seeking stakeholder feedback on the framework from families/caregivers, educators, professionals and advocates experienced in special education law, regulations, policy and practices.

Two events are being held January 9th noon and January 25th at 6pm both events will be held virtually.
