Delaware’s Alternate Assessment (DeSSA-Alt) is for our students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. This assessment provides academic standards that are used to measure academic achievement for the students who are eligible for the alternate assessment. This webinar will provide an overview of the DeSSA-ALT and discuss strategies that can be used to support literacy development for children with cognitive disabilities. Parents/Guardians will receive information about the alternate assessment and shared reading module.
