Kelly is a Delaware native who graduated from Woodbridge High School and the University of Delaware. She has been a lifelong passionate advocate for teens and young adults, as well as the LGBTQIA+ community. Kelly lived in New Zealand for several years, where she was a volunteer and mentor with the Rainbow Youth organization and was a volunteer with the New Zealand AIDS Foundation. Kelly worked at Sussex County Family Court for many years, managing the Mental Health Court diversion program for juveniles. Diagnosed as neurodivergent in adulthood, Kelly is dedicated to supporting young people with special needs and/or disabilities and their families and helping them find the best strategies for positive outcomes.
