PIC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of parents of children with disabilities, educators and community leaders who represent the broad range of families and professionals that PIC serves across the state.  As stewards of the organization, the Governing Board guides PIC in the fulfillment of its mission and ensures that PIC has the necessary resources to deliver the services and support to parents statewide.

The PIC Governing Board meets regularly.  In between meetings, board members engage in committee work around strategic planning, policy, and fund and board development. PIC board members, many of whom have benefited from PIC’s services are dedicated and loyal supporters of the organization.  If you are interested in joining the PIC board, kindly contact Jacky Saez-Rosario jsaezrosario@picofdel.org

Jackeline Saez-Rosario – Board President

Board Member |

My name is Jackeline Saez-Rosario and I am currently employed as a paralegal in the Disabilities Law Program at Community Legal Aid. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science with a concentration in law and political theory and minors in legal studies, women studies and disabilities studies from the University of Delaware. As an undergraduate student, I studied and researched the barriers that parents of children with special needs faced especially non-English speaking families and presented my work and recommendations for closing these gaps at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities Conference. With my research, I have been able to assist in creating cultural competency training and help organizations add cultural competency training to their recruitment process. When I am not in the office I am usually either at an outreach/community event or involved in one of the various committees I sit on including, the Delaware Victims Right Disability Sub-Committee, Access Wilmington, and Employment First Oversight Commission
