In this session, we’ll break down some of the biggest myths surrounding bilingual ASL/
English education, and learn how to provide a language rich environment for your deaf
or hard-of-hearing child or student and keep them thriving.
About the speaker:
Sara Nović is a deaf writer, parent of a D/HH child, and the author of the New York
Times Bestselling Novel True Biz. She has an MFA from Columbia University, and is a
college instructor of Deaf Studies and Creative Writing. She lives with her family outside
Philadelphia.
