JOIN OUR PARENT BOOK STUDY! – Book: ‘From Emotions to Advocacy’ –

Advocating for your child can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to understand special education, communicate your concerns, and make important decisions about your child’s education.

Join other parents and caregivers for a supportive and interactive book study of ‘From Emotions to Advocacy’ ‘Special Education Survival Guide’ written by Pam Wright and Pete Wright, of Wrightslaw

 Together, we’ll explore how to:

  • Better understand your role as your child’s advocate
  • Prepare for meetings and important conversations
  • Organize your child’s records and information
  • Ask questions and communicate concerns effectively
  • Use information and data to make informed decisions
  • Work more effectively with your child’s school team
  • Turn concerns into clear, meaningful action steps

More than a Book Study!

Each session will include opportunities to learn, reflect, ask questions, share experiences, and practice advocacy strategies you can use when supporting your child.  You don’t have to know everything to be an effective advocate.

Come ready to learn, connect, and build your advocacy toolbox!
