By joining the Parent Council, you’ll:

  • Learn about district processes
  • Give feedback that shapes student success

Parent Council’s Role

  • Provide direct input on policies, programs, and practices that affect services and supports for students with disabilities.
  • Increase the involvement of families of children with special needs.
  • Advise on issues impacting the education, health, and safety of students with special needs.

Who Should Attend?

  • Families of students with disabilities
  • Families of students eligible for or receiving services under an IEP or 504 Plan
  • Anyone interested in building stronger partnerships between home and school
