Community Doula Program

PIC is collaborating with Healthy Women Healthy Babies and a wide range of Sussex County health organizations to address the maternal and infant health crisis in the United States. We are currently accepting applications for our community doula program. Apply to become a trained, certified doula in Sussex County working in communities of color to address this critical challenge facing families. Topics addressed in the training include, pregnancy exercise and nutrition, fertility, nonmedical comfort measure in childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum support and trauma and grief during pregnancy. You will learn how to support pregnant and parenting families and help them advocate for their needs. The summer training series begins on June 2, 2021.
