The Unauthorized Practice of Law refers to anyone who is not admitted to practice law in Delaware performs legal services, creates legal documents, or offers legal advice. When someone engages in UPL, it’s often unintentional. As Parent Mentors, understanding UPL is essential in ensuring we are not inadvertently engaging in activities or advise that may be perceived as practicing law. This is a required training for mentors and the training will be held virtually. A zoom link for this meeting will be sent under separate email. If you have any conflicts with this date and time, please let me know as soon as possible.
This training is limited to those who have participated in a Parent Mentor or Special Education Series Training, or Education Surrogate Parent (ESP).
