PIC partnered with the Delaware Department of Education (DOE) to hold a number of sessions for families, caregivers, community members, professionals and advocates to provide feedback on the state performance measures as mandated under IDEA. Parents, caregivers and professionals serving children with disabilities are essential in improving systems and outcomes for children in Delaware. Overview of Indicator(s) 6 & 7- Preschool children with disabilities – October 19, 2021 12:00noon & October 21, 2021 6:00pm
This session focuses on 2 areas related to preschool children:
1. Services provided for preschool children with disabilities in settings with children without disabilities
2. Improving learning outcomes for preschool children with disabilities

2. Increasing the use of resolution sessions to resolve due process hearing complaints
3. Increasing the use of mediation services to resolve differences between families and schools

Overview of Indicator(s) 1 & 2 and 13 & 14-Transition Aged Youth with Disabilities and their Families – November 2 & 4 2021
This session will focus on areas relating to school aged children:
1. Number of students with disabilities graduating from high school with a regular diploma
2. Number of students with disabilities dropping out of school
3. Percent of students with measurable post-secondary goals
4. Number of students with disabilities who:
a. Are enrolled in higher education, competitive employment, training program or other employment,
within one year after high school
